The Bollywood movie industry took an instant like to her and she starred in several very successful Hindi movies. In 1999 she won the Filmfare Best Actress Award.

1. Bollywood = 발리우드(인도 영화산업을 일컫는 말. 지금은 뭄바이(Mumbai)로 불리지만 이전에는 봄베이(Bombay)로 불렸던 도시를 중심으로 진행되는 데서 생긴 이름)
