Many people wear Adidas clothes and shoes as a fashion statement. The company also manufactures other products such as bags, glasses and watches. Adidas is heavily into sponsoring sports stars and teams.

"make a fashion statement = 독특한 복장을 연출하다"의 표현으로 자주 사용된다.

* be into ~ = ~에(을) 관심이 많다(좋아하다)
"be into ~ = be interested in ~"로 볼 수 있다. 마치 ~에 푹 빠져 있음을 연상시키는
전치사 "into ~"의 활용을 생각하면 그 느낌이 더 뚜렷해 진다. 비슷한 표현으로는
"be absorbed in ~ = ~에 심취해 있다, 정신이 팔려있다"를 생각해 볼 수 있겠다.
