S (주어) + V (동사) + O (목적어) + O.C (목적보어)
5형식의 목적보어는 목적어를 보충해주는 역할을 합니다.
5형식에서 기억해야 할 것은 간단합니다. 먼저 5형식의 문장형태는 "S + V + O + O.C" 인데요...
이 때 5형식 목적보어는 크게 "명사,형용사 / 동사변형" 형태가 옵니다.
즉 원래 보어 자리에 올 수 있는 "명사나 형용사" 또는
이 역할을 할 수 있는 "준동사"가 올 수 있다는 이야기이지요.
그리고 이에 따라 중간에 연결어구가 삽입되기도 하는데요,
5형식에서는 이 부분을 중심적으로 암기하면 됩니다.
1) To be
형태 : S + V + O to be O.C
동사 : believe, consier, find, imagine, know, suppose, think
특징 : 목적보어가 형용사인 경우에는 연결어구인 to be를 생략할 수 있다.
ex) I believe him to be teacher.
ex) He considers his daughter to be his pride.
ex) The jury believed him to be the muderer.
ex) She know the stranger to be her husband whom she had given up as lost.
2) As
형태 : S + V + O as O.C
동사 : acknowlege, appoint, consider, define, describe, elect, imagine, look upon, regard, refer to, think of, threat
특징 : appoint, consider, deem, elect의 to be, as는 생략이 가능하다.
ex) The president appoints Mr.Kim as secretary.
ex) HIs classmate elect him as cheif.
ex) He imagined himself as a movie star.
3) X (아무것도 들어가지 않음)
형태 : S + V + O + O.C
동사 : call, consider, make, name
특징 : consier는 연결어구 to be / as를 갖을 수도, 아무것도 쓰지 않을 수도 있다.
ex) He calls me crazy.
ex) I conider her daughter.
ex) They named the child John.
ex) Jane has made Harry happy.

1. 나는 그녀를 내 여동생이라고 불렀다.
