76. instead of + ~ing = ~(하는 것) 대신에
(X) He went away instead to wait.
(O) He went away instead of waiting.

77. capable of + ~ing = ~을 할 수 있는
(X) They're quite capable to do that.
(O) They're quite capable of doing that.
Note: Also incapable of + ~ing
"to + the infinitive" follows able or unable. (eg) He is unable to do anything.

78. fond of + ~ing = ~을 좋아하다
(X) She's always fond to talk.
(O) She's always fond of talking.
